Co²gnition

xD SPACE is presenting Co²gnition at La Générale on November 15, 2025. Doors open at 19:00, screening at 19:30. Co²gnition is an exploration of and conversation about the growing technological entanglement between man and machine cognition processes featuring the investigative and meditative works of artist Andrey Lopatin as well as of the collective community project systm. After a screening of the projects, an open conversation with the artists will take place. This space will also feature the inauguration of xD SPACE's official Discord.

Andrey Lopatin's Grand Perspective is a video meditation on the contemporary state of consciousness shared between humans and technology. Presented as a looped sequence across a grid of nine screens, the work weaves together sourced, generated, and altered footage without a fixed beginning or end. Alongside traditionally collected internet imagery, AI-generated video fragments are blended into the narration, commenting on changing conditions of authenticity in digital media. The narrative echoes the randomness of internet scrolling, yet suggests an underlying structure that flickers between rationality and subconscious flow.

Systm's Doomscrolling Live is a media project born out of a desire to do something constructive with our social media doomscrolling habits. Existing equally as performative practice and as space to openly share and critique the inner perspectives of our algorithmically filtered image-worlds, Doomscrolling Live is a continuing experiment in technical forms and levels of engagement since its inception a year ago.
