RNG

RNG

xD SPACE is presenting RNG at La Générale on December 12, 2025. Doors open at 19:00, screening at 19:30. RNG is a restless experiment in found-footage cinema, a project situated at the crossroads of corecore's affective collage culture and the avant-garde's long history of montage as rupture and research.

Redacted Cut's RNG is not only film but process-driven field of improvisation: a space where editing overcomes authorship, where algorithms, accidents, and intuition collide. Referencing both the unpredictability of random number generators and the structural logic of relative neighborhood graphs (among others), the project treats images as nodes in a flat and volatile field, equally accessible yet never neutral. What takes shape is a cinematic laboratory built from playlists, scrap media, dislocated context, and the endlessly revisable scroll—an attempt to un-frame internet imagery and propose the editor as the primary agent of meaning. RNG expands the language of montage toward something at once mechanical and poetic: a composition of chance, contradiction, and precision, assembled by hand.
